TdBk Big Bang

[Todoroki Shouto smashes his reflection in a mirror of the school bathroom. Bakugou Katsuki walks in the door witnessing the havoc. Amongst the broken shards, Todoroki sees versions of himself and Bakugou that are strange yet somehow familiar…]

I wanted to make something a lil angsty & dramatic  I was originally thinking of something like past lives (reincarnation) or transmigration (cursed Prince Todoroki gets isekai-ed to modern world), but I could have seen someone taking different routes, such as parallel universes or quirk accident or curse!

Depending on your interpretation, Prince Todoroki could be awakening in or taking over Student Todoroki’s body, or Student Todoroki could be seeing visions. When Student Bakugou walks in on the drama (by accident? or was he following Todoroki to confront him?), Prince Todoroki could recognize him as the warrior (barbarian? rival prince? enemy? lover?) Bakugou that he knows, or Student Todoroki could see flickers of a strange, bloodied version of Bakugou that he doesn’t recognize. Together, Bakugou must help Todoroki to lift the curse!

•Will Student Bakugou help Prince Todoroki lift his curse?

•Will Student Bakugou help Student Todoroki get rid of cursed Prince Todoroki?

•Will the two students research and learn about fantasy!tdbk to help fix these star-crossed characters’ fate or cure themselves of the strange visions?

Big THANK YOU to our mod Cat, for holding such a fun and wonderful event for so many years, since 2018!! Some of the works from that first TDBK Big Bang def fed my budding interest in the ship, since Todoroki & Bakugou by themselves was considered somewhat a rarepair back then. How we've grown! (cracked top 100 ships on ao3 within last couple years,, wooow!!)

I’ve been participating in this event since the first reverse in 2019  i feel like I got to grow a lot as an artist because of this event (even if I’d get rusty between rounds lol), often challenging myself to go outside my artistic comfort zone, each concept’s scene/pose/perspective/environment something a little new or different~  Loved meeting/chatting/collaborating with fellow todobaku enthusiasts from around the world!
