What is a Big Bang?
A big bang is a writer/artist collaboration challenge for any fandom. (source) 

The tdbk_bb will use a requirement of 7k words for authors, and a minimum of 2 illustrations to accompany it by the Artist.

Note: this is meant to be a challenge! Please plan and manage your time accordingly.

How do I sign up?
We will have a Writer and Artist sign up page posted on the TDBK_BB community. Please leave a comment with the following information:

I do not have/want a Dreamwidth account, can I still sign up?
Yes! We will have Anon commenting turned on for sign ups and claims.

Please Note:  anon accounts do not receive notifications to replies, so please make sure to leave current/primary contact information for mods. This will be important for claims information.

I do not have a Discord account, can I still sign up? 
Yes! We are simply asking for as many contact references as possible to make contacting you easier.

How to write a Big Bang Writer Summary: 

·         Writers can begin their work once they sign up. 

·         By first check-in, writers should have an outline or a detailed summary of their story to be submitted via email to the admins. Remember, your potential partner will be using this summary when deciding on their claims. There is no limit for how long or short your summary can be.

·         Writers will email their work/WIPs to tdrkshouto813@gmail.com with the following information for art claims:

Notes for Moderator: (This will be deleted and not used publicly) 

Note: summary must be included in your email for art claims.

How to Big Bang Part 2: Artist Claims

Summaries that were emailed to the admins will be posted for participating Artists to look and choose from. Each summary will be assigned a unique number and artists will use this to specify which works they would like when making their claims.

Comments will be disabled at that time until claims open.

The artist will list their top 3 summaries in a comment on the designated entry. Please wait for an admin confirmation during the claiming event. If your 1st choice is not available, you will be assigned your 2nd or 3rd choice. If all 3 of your picks have been claimed, we will ask that you pick another summary.  Once you have confirmation of your partner, you are encouraged to contact to your new partner.  

 

How do I claim?
When the summary post becomes open on its designated date for commenting, the artist will leave a comment with the following information:

Note: each summary will have a unique corresponding number.

 

Keeping to our promise of being transparent, we are unable to leave claims as screened comments. We understand this is a stressor for some, but in order to remain fair and unbiased, this is a necessity.

 If you are commenting under an anon account, you will not be notified of an admin confirmation. We are using the journal page and its comments for public records of claims. When all summaries have been taken, a participation list will be posted.

FAQs:

Is this for TDBK only or can BKTD be submitted as well? 
All forms all allowed! We have always accepted tdbk as well as bktd in our bangs. 

I don’t like my writer/artist style. Can I request a different one?
No.

Each one of our artists and writers are working very hard on their projects! If you truly need to change partners, please email the admin, and we will try to come to a solution that works for everyone.

i don't feel comfortable with my partners age/what do you plan to do about minors?
Short of asking everyone for proof, which i am not doing, I am not taking action with it. State in your summary that you will not work with a partner that is underage. Honor system is Law. 
If you have a problem with your partner and need to change, contact me directly so we may come to a solution.

What is not allowed?

I can't get in contact with my Partner. What do I do?

During the duration of TDBK_BB, you will be responsible for contacting your partner.
In the event that you have tried unsuccessfully to contact your partner, LET US KNOW, and we will determine a drop after a final attempt at contact.They will be given 1 day to reply back to us and to their partner.

We cannot stress this enough. If you do not contact us with any problem you are having, we do not know there is one and cannot help you in a timely manner. 

What is a pinch hitter?
Pinch hitters are the brave souls who sign up to take on more than one entry. Sometimes there may not be enough submissions to go around. Other times, your partner or yourself may need to drop out completely. Our pinch hitters will be there to fill your spot.

What is a check in?
Check in will be an entry posted to the community that you will leave a comment on. This will determine participation levels, drops, and extensions. A single comment is required, if you do not make a check in, we will assume a dropped entry unless we are notified. No WIP is required.
