tdbk_bbWhat is a Reverse Bang?
A reverse Bang is a collaboration between artists and writers, where the Artist creates one (1) or more full illustrations for a possible partnership with a writer to come up with a story.
Artists will post their work for writers to pick first come, first serve. We understand that stylization comes with art, so anonymity is hard, but we will remain as neutral for all participants who enter.
Important information and FAQ
Do i need a DW (dreamwidth) account to participate?
An account is free, however we do recommend you bookmark our page or follow our twitter account for updates.
you will be using the commenting section to confirm participation and claim a prompt
Can I draw more than one illustration?
yes! as long as each one is fully illustrated, you are allowed more than one entry. We are capping this limit at 3, just in case the art outnumbers the writers participating.
Can I submit cosplay photos?
Yes. we do ask that it is a photoset that has not been posted on your social media. Models used must be 18+
How will I send my finished projects to the mods?
An email with a summary/inspo/prompt along with the finished work.
Can anyone participate?
Yes! this is not an application process. By leaving a comment below, you are saying you ARE going to be a participant. There are no merch incentives or bundles like a zine. When everyone is done with their collaborations, it will be posted on a schedule, free for everyone to enjoy and read.
What is the min and max for Artists and Writers?
Artists: you must complete a single illustration in order to participate. Anything created for your collaboration in addition to the main illustration is extra! We do recommend you create a title banner for your finished project for easy posting at the end.
Writers: min word count is 5k. As long as you can reach an "end" or break, example a "Part 1, Part 2" then it will be accepted as finished
