Summary:

 

There’s an ache in his heart painful enough to steal his breath away. It’s the way he talks, the playful teasing, the stupid nickname dedicated to his hair (that Shouto grew to like somehow).

 

He is torn between the desire to turn around and see him, embrace him, kiss him and the dread of the cruel truth he has to confront him with.

 

But Shouto can’t run away. No matter how scared he is. No matter how much this will kill him. He owes him an explanation. He owes it to them.

 

Or: Shouto is supposed to become his father’s perfect creation. A human with limbs made of metal and screws, feared and worshipped by the whole world. Knowing he can’t escape his father’s plans, he steals away to say his last goodbye to Katsuki – Katsuki doesn’t take it very well.
